“We, the brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi, believe that service to the college or university band program fosters responsibility, loyalty, and leadership; that a spirit of brotherhood is enhanced by the participation in a band program; that music is a universal language and truly the greatest of the arts; and that through fraternal participation, each member will strive for the highest.”

Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternal Creed

From the President:

Hello and welcome to the Alpha Tau chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi’s website!

Our fraternity is incredibly eager to serve the Longhorn Band, especially with our switch into the Southeastern Conference. My brothers and I are looking forward to the new service opportunities, connections, and memories that will arise during this transition!

This past year was full of service opportunities, perhaps the most exciting of those being our trip to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl college football playoff game. It was a great way for our newly active class, Inferno, to participate in postseason service and contribute to our standing as one of the largest chapters in the country!

Of course there is a lot of work to be had this season, as we are additionally celebrating the 125th year of the Longhorn Band. This is truly shaping out to be a historic year not just for the band, but for Alpha Tau and our brotherhood as a whole. We hope you stick around for what is in store!

As always, Alpha Tau strives to showcase our dedication to leadership, musicianship, brotherhood, inclusion, and service. We are looking forward to what this football season has in store for us, and we cannot wait to get started!

Hook ‘em forever!
